When Yesyca came to CareerCatchers, she was earning about $14,000 a year in part-time catering while managing health challenges. Her coach recognized her potential, found relevant training, and secured scholarships to make it possible. She is now the Director of Membership at the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce — with health insurance and a 401(k).
YESYCA'S STORY
From $14,000 a year to a leadership career
A coach opened the door. Yesyca did the rest.
During the pandemic, Henrietta and her three children faced homelessness and lived in hotels. Her coach focused on her aspirations rather than just job placement. This led to a course and ultimately an opportunity at Interfaith Works, where she celebrates five years this November.
HENRIETTA'S STORY
From a hotel room to five years in a career
Your support doesn't just help someone get hired. It helps them build what comes next.
Jose came through a Rapid Rehousing referral after several years incarcerated. With preparation and one opportunity, he was hired at UPS. His roommate Harold followed, transitioning from inconsistent work to a driving role. Eduard, a Montgomery College student Jose knew, was hired too.
JOSE'S STORY
One opportunity opened three doors
Sometimes changing one career changes more than one life.
